At Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, we know the difference attendance at the New England Lutheran camp, Camp Calumet, makes in faith formation for our young people.  These projects will raise funds to provide a stipend for youth who attend Camp Calumet Lutheran as campers, counsellors or trainees.  We seek to show our youth that we are invested in their future.

Bandanas

Beautiful custom printed bandanas can be purchased to raise funds to support camperships.   $ 10 each or three for $ 25.  Indicate how many you wish to purchase in the notes section when you donate.  They are available in royal blue, navy blue, purple and green — while the supply lasts! (indicate your color preferences in the notes section). You can also buy bandanas as a gift for campers!  What a cool idea!  If you want the bandana(s) you buy to go as a gift to others, write that in the notes section when you donate. We will be in touch when the bandanas arrive to arrange getting them to you.

Talent Show & Silent Auction

The Talent Show and Auction is back on Saturday, May 22nd from 5:30-8:00PM! We hope you’ll join us for this year’s outdoor, in-person event benefitting the Campership Fund. The night begins with a time for dinner and dessert from 5:30-6:30. You are invited to bring a picnic dinner and purchase dessert from Uhlman’s Ice Cream Truck, which will be onsite with 14 of their most popular flavors available in cups or cones ($5 per item). At 6:30, we’ll transition to the Talent Show portion of the evening, which will be held on the prayer patio. The Silent Auction will be set up in the Fellowship Hall throughout the evening. All are welcome to go inside and bid at any point – we will have someone stationed at the entrances of the hall to keep everyone distanced and stop any crowds from forming inside.

Please note that this event will be primarily outdoors (bathrooms will be open inside the church). You are invited to bring your own chairs. Masks and social distancing will be enforced.

Finally, we hope you’ll consider sharing an act or talent at the Talent Show! If you need any special equipment for your act, please email samantha.menapace@goodshepherdcares.org as soon as possible. While we will be outdoors, we will try our best to accommodate any reasonable requests for props, instruments, etc.
