Nurses Notes

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

~Jeremiah 29:11

Happy 2017!! A new year and a fresh start. Even if you don’t make resolutions, it can sometimes just feel a little refreshing to start anew with some good intentions.

The health ministry will be having some informal practice sessions with the trainer defibrillator that was so generously donated by Randy Koopman. We are looking for a spare room between services and possibly on a few Wednesday nights in January. We will also have the mannequins available for CPR practice. The good news is that in public situations until the trained professionals arrive on scene, it turns out good Chest compressions (no need for rescue breaths, we all have oxygen in our blood, it just needs to be circulated) and the use of a defibrillator, available in many public places, can save a life.

We look forward to practicing and developing some muscle memory so if the situation ever arises, you can be ready.

Dates and times will be posted through January in the weekly news.

Praying for peace and good health in 2017,

Lois
