Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. ~Ephesians 4:2
Happy March, Happy Spring!
I continue to move forward with my Faith Community Nursing course. It’s an on line course with approximately 4 hours of study time a week, plus time spent in reflection and prayer. So far I’m really enjoying it, and have learned a LOT!
In April I travel for some in campus time to Sioux Falls South Dakota as the course is affiliated with Augustana University.
Unfortunately there are no classes at this time in the local area.
On April 15, I become commissioned as a Faith Community Nurse. (Or parish nurse as we more commonly call it in our congregation.) I complete church paperwork, then will really be official. I’m looking forward to completing this work in preparation for this new role.
In the meantime, I look forward to continuing blood pressures every month, and more often as needed, and getting my feet wet with the multiple issues that will be coming down the road.
And one last thing, the Health Ministry is always looking to welcome new members. It is not necessary to have professional experience, we’re all concerned about health and look forward to your ideas. Next meeting is March 10 at 7 pm in the library. We don’t meet every month, so time commitment is not major. Join us!
God’s peace, Lois
