Kristen McCordick, Parish Nurse

Hello and welcome!Kristen McCordick

I’m Kristen McCordick, RN, Good Shepherd’s Parish Nurse. I have been a member of Good Shepherd since 1996. I grew up in Walpole, Massachusetts and received my BSN from UMass-Lowell (formerly the University of Lowell) in 1987. My husband David (a Canadian transplant) and I live in Westboro and have been married for nearly 16 years. We have twin boys, Connor and Ryan, who are 11 and in the sixth grade. Our household is completed by one very pampered bunny named Whiskers (he has his own room). I have been employed at Newton-Wellesley Hospital in various roles since 1989. My current position is as a nurse educator, providing training and orientation for newly hired hospital staff.

I was installed as parish nurse in January 2008. I am the chairperson of the health ministry committee which meets monthly to plan programs and investigate ways to help our members be good stewards of their own health.

It is a true blessing in my life to be able to provide care and support for members of our church as the parish nurse. I am always available to answer your questions, provide information & referrals, accompany you to a doctor’s appointment or come visit you. Please don’t hesitate to contact me if I can be of help in any way. Good Shepherd is a wonderfully growing, thriving (and healthy) faith community with many worship options, educational ministries and other programs that may appeal to you. Please come by and check us out!

In Christ,

Kristen McCordick
