Did you bring God with you on summer vacation?

God is everywhere!

God showed my boys and me grace this summer by helping me endeavor on vacation of a lifetime to Disney, Sea World and Universal with my boys, alone.  Stress cannot even describe the feeling I was having leading up to the day of departure.  I couldn’t pack, I couldn’t sleep.  The list of “what if’s” was tremendously long.

Well, prayer works!  I prayed a lot to God over the few weeks before we left.  My main quandary was how much ‘preparation’ could I impose on my children without scaring them into not wanting to go on this fabulous trip I had planned.  God helped me to prepare the boys enough to make sure they knew where I was and I knew where they were in proximity to each other at all times; the rest I just let go to God.

God heard my prayers. God knew. God saw. God carried us through and watched us enjoying ourselves.  God kept us safe. God spoke to my sons and reminded them to remind me that we needed to pray each time before we ate any meal even though we were out in a restaurant.  God was there everyday, on every ride, and on the last day walking through Epcot to go to have dinner  with our friends who met us there for the vacation, God reminded us that no matter where we are or what we are doing we can always see the grace bestowed on us if we just look!
